I picked this up at my local gun shop for what I considered short money. I know it is a 1940 Walther made with 2 matching magazines that must have been presentation piece for a Wehrmacht. I, however have never seen a box like this or the manual. Is the box and manual period for the gun?
That's dates with the Roman numerals representing the month and the Arab numbers the date of the month. Might have to cross check what happened between May and September of 1940...
