Ammunition Velocity from CCP

Went to range today to see if the CCP would bleed off too much velocity from gas system. Here is what I got:
Federal HST 124 non +P 1095 Energy 330
Winchester SXZ 115 JHP 1095 Energy 306
Hornady Z-Max 115 1050 Energy 281
Speer Gold Dot 115 JHP 1125 Energy 323
Speer Gold Dot 124 +P JHP 1120 Energy 345
IMI 115 FMJ 1135 Energy 329
RWS 124 FMJ 1025 Energy 289
For comparison I clocked the Speer and IMI out of my PPQ which seems to have a fast barrel compared to my Beretta M9.
PPQ Speer 124 +P Gold Dot 1200 Energy 395
IMI 115 FMJ 1210 Energy 374
All in all the CCP did not seem to drop velocity all that much. I checked some of my clocked loadings out of my Ruger LC9 and the LC9 is lower by 40 to 45 feet per second. So it seems that the gun holds it's velocity pretty well. Just some insight for all CCP owners. Those were all five shot averages.
Fibonacci, pj_49, Echo700 and 1 others like this.

I clocked some ammo again on friday. My gun loves those winchester sxz 115 hp's which clocked at 1103, which is not too shabby. The Ammo my gun balks on is RWS 124 fmj and winchester nato 124. It loves Yarvex 124 and Geco 124. Funny thing is the gun for some reason seemed to really take off after about the 500th round to date. I ran both the Yarvex and Geco last and the gun seemed to really run better, plus it was hot. Maybe it's finally broken in. I do love this gun i have to say. The trigger has really smooth out too.
