We went through this whole subject some years ago on the forum, and as I recall it led to a lot of silly argument.

Don't go there. It's isn't fruitful.

What evidence can you provide to support this assertion?

The CCP took almost 6 months from announcement to hit the streets (generally available). I would not call that a rush to market by any means.

Curious, can you provide link to news story for this?

Start with the Ford Pinto and Umarex CCP then perform your own research! It's not the quantity of time spent that proves or disproves adequate QA.....it's the procedures used, the compromises allowed and what a failure could mean in human terms.

I'll give you what I remember....Bessemer, AL Bright Star ( Brightstar?) restaurant, there was a long time employee that cleaned up every night, he routinely carried a pistol, he was found dead one morning. Police determined that he had dropped his pistol, fell out of pocket, holster...???? I don't remember, it discharged upon hitting the floor striking and killing him. As I recall he was found the following morning.....but I don't remember the date and am guessing somewhat at the details I remember. That might provide enough info to track it down. The restaurant is correct and it is located in Bessemer. 1917

Purchased February 2016

Only issue we've had in 2000+ rounds is the mag dropping out, but only when I fire it. It works 100% for my wife.

As a one time owner of a CCP I've been subscribed to this thread for over 2 years now hoping to see some resolution to the many problems associated with the CCP. Unfortunately it seems to be "same old, same old" with minor improvements, but then someone discovers a new problem and it starts all over again.

I was hoping Walther would have done the right thing and pulled the CCP off the market, recalled all those sold and refunded the costs to the purchasers, but they didn't, so I returned mine in exchange for a PPS. I have since upgraded to a PPS M2 and am very pleased with this proven platform. I know there are CCP's out there that work flawlessly as did mine, but in light of all the others that have problems I wasn't prepared to risk my life on a gun that could have malfunctioned when I really needed it to work. Murphy's Law always seems to come into play at the worst times.

I wish all of you CCP owners the best in resolving the current and any future problems you encounter with your CCP's, and I'll stop by from time to time to see if you have been able to make any progress. Good luck.

I actually own 2 CCPS. Long story short, I wanted to carry something that my wife would also feel comfortable shooting if the need ever actually arose. It's like pulling teeth to get her out to the range so trying to get her comfortable on more than one type of handgun was a losing battle.... So once she was settled on the CCP, I ended up getting 2.
Par for the course, mine has had basically no issues while her's has had issues every trip to the range.

Hers: Black- WK0088XX
Main issue- Slide often locks back around the 4th or 5 round. 2 different shooters, 4 different mags, multiple range trips, multiple ammo types and cleanings in between.
Other issues include random failures to feed, failures to eject and at least once that the slide cycled but the trigger did not reset.

Mine: Stainless- WK0137XX
Issues- Out of around 400 rounds I think I had the slide lock open while shooting it twice but that may well have been caused by my own thumb in both cases.

Overall happy with mine but not so much with my wife's. I can see why someone with the sample of only 1 of these could have a great experience..... or a nightmare.
I wish I had done a better job recording all the issues we had with my wife's CCP but.... I didn't. It's been sitting in the case for about a year. We had decided to send it in for repairs but never got around to it. I was poking around on the forums the other day when I learned about the recall and so, off it finally went.
Hopefully hers comes back fully operational and redeemed, but we will see.
