Meanwhile, my PPS (plural) have been so reliable as to almost be boring.

I trust that you'll have the folks in Fort Smith fix it before you offer it up to some unsuspecting knave who hasn't been visiting here ...

Contacted Walther / Here goes nothing

I talked to a guy in service at Walther USA today. He said my issue sounds like an ammo issue since I've had six different rounds that work. He went on about how allot of guns are finicky about their ammo. He then stated there is a possibility the gas system could not disagree with certain ammo due to "it being hot or not". He said find an ammo that works and stick with it. (Hopefully in a zombie apocalypse I can always finds that ammo!)

He said they use Winchester white box and Fiocchi without any issues to test there. He said if those two don't work then they'll take it in.

Ugh, The only ammo that I have had issues with is Winchester White Box... But I run more of it at the range because it is cheap. I prefer Blazer Brass.

First of all, it is my considered opinion that the gun is functioning properly. It seems the best results are obtained with PREMIUM Ammo. That isn't my only gripe. There is the matter of the trigger and also the take down tool. I bought the CCP with my eyes fully open and after testing and review I have to say it is my own fault. I totally believe in "Caveat Emptor" ... So does someone want my CCP?? let me know and I can send it to your FFL

You haven't had any real problems with yours have you Maccountrypilot. You just aren't impressed with it. I think 1CAMSHAFT1 , the OP is the one with request for some answers from Walther. I think Searcher got you mixed up with someone with a broken pistol. OK....I'll start the ball rolling.. $50 bid M1911

$365, are you kidding? For a used, cheap, lack-luster, unreliable, gritty trigger, POS turning to horse droppings CCP (I quote).
No, 1911s $50 sounds about right, shipped.
