I'd suggest that you do a little more scraping there, Malinki, before heading out. As Morton Salt used to tell us: When it rains, it pours -- apparently true.

Yeah, I was a goof and had left my boots in the back of the car. Went for a walk, though...

Interesting thing about the first pic...

Note the smallish track in the snow to the left of my own footprints. At first I saw that, and how it came up to our car and then stopped, and I thought someone was out in the storm casing cars. I followed it back, however, and it just... Stopped.

Then I realized it had stopped within small critter jumping distance of the telephone pole, and it was one of the neighborhood squirrels that had also decided against and went back home.

Wow -- impressive. That's more snow than we've seen thus far in the central Oregon Cascades, which is likely no good for both of us. Our water supplies here are snow-fed from the mountains, which means a summer of fires and drought unless things pick up in a hurry. I know of more than a few folks here who would gladly trade you, not that it's any consolation. Better get out the snow shovel and hop-to.

We had half again that here in the Philly suburbs. Just got finished running the blower. I do mine , the neighbors on either side and 2 houses across the street (all older folks that would have a real hard time trying to do for themselves).

Sure hope some kid moves in next door for my old age.

Expected to end around 10:00 Wednesday night. Getting to work on Thursday should create a challenge.
