Default Walther KK series

I just purchased three Walther KK series as far as I can tell. They apparently were German practice rifles in .22 caliber. Is there a database to determine date of manufacture and actual model number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Lee

Hi, CML, and welcome to the forum. We trust that you'll enjoy your time here.

The first stop for you might be here:

www.carlwalther.com

Earl Sheehan sells all varieties of Walther pistols and rifles, and his website provides photos of the individual models -- rifles included. You might want to spend a bit of time there to determine the exact models that you have.

You also might want to see if you get a copy of Manfred Kersten's "Walther: A German Legend." It's a large coffee table-sized book that does a terrific job of detailing the various Walther rifles that were offered through the years, along with all of the pistols. The chances are good that you can find some telling details on the rifles you own. Be sure to browse around (check out the Sticky on this forum on books that every Walther owner should have) for a good deal on the Kersten book. You'll see them offered from $30 to $100 or more.

Hope that helps a bit.

By all means. Keep us posted on your progress. And, if you can, post us a photo or two of your rifles. We always like to see pictures.

If I had any questions on Walther .22 rifles Bob Simpson of Simpson Ltd would be who I'd call. His personal collection must have been in the hundreds last time I saw it. Wish he'd sell me one or two...
