I went into my favorite shooting goods/gun store and they had the SP22 M1 & M2 in stock. I held it and I have to admit I was under-impressed. The slide is like nothing I have ever seen before and it looks like a bear to break-down. One of the beauties of all my Walther handguns is the easy of break-down and re-assembly. Has anyone broke the SP22 down? How hard is it? I have a Ruger MKIII that is hard as heck to disassemble and re-assemble. How is slide to operate? I don't know if I will buy one or not, and right now I am leaning to not. As a Walther nut, please convice it is awesome and that I have to have it.

A Umarex gun with a Walther banner is not the same thing as a Walther gun with an Ulm proof. Look for a good buy on a PP or a PPK in .22 caliber instead.

I have learned what the Ulm antler is and that is good, but the SP22 is not. That slide seemed almost "toy-like". Oh-well, I have my PPS to shoot.

Yeah, I find this most disappointing as well. I was looking forward to an SP22 as a way to drive tacks on the range without breaking the bank while avoiding the issues associated with the P22. I'm now looking at the Ruger MK series as an alternative. Ah well.
