Adapter works it's way loose/Colt-Walther .22

I recently picked a gemtech suppressor adapter for my Colt/Walther 1911 .22lr. Put it on a few days ago and yesterday took the pistol to the range yesterday for a regular workout. I have to admit, this is one of the most fun little shooters I've ever aquired at such a price. I've been running several hundred rounds through her per trip to the range for 2 or 3 times a week since I purchased it.
Anyway, I did encounter one issue. I noticed that the adapter had worked itself loose after about 200 rounds (a real bad thing as this also holds the barrel in place.) I tightened it up and it stayed that way for the next 100 rounds. It did seem a bit loose when I cleaned it after shooting as well.
The reason I ask here is that the adapter/configuration on the gun looks exactly like the one I've seen on some P22's (haven't decided if that's good or bad yet). I was wondering if any of our Forum members had encountered this issue with the adapter working it's way loose on their guns, whether it's a P22 or if they have one of these 1911's. I'll keep working with it and perhaps I had not itghtened it as well as I thought. But I just wondered if anyone else here have had this happen. Attaching a couple of pics for grins.
Thanks. ~J

I have a stainless suppressor on my SP22 and it works loose ALL the time. I have put 5000+ rounds through it with 2 different guns (SP22 & Ruger SR22) If you over tighten it'll put unwanted stress on the threads and such. Mainly just give it a check every few mags and it wont droop so far that the bullet actually hits the inside of the suppressor baffle. Spray the baffle with PAM too. It'll keep the carbon build up from sticking when you go to clean it. They can only be blasted so many times before they are ruined. Hope this helps.
