Walther Free Pistol

Picked this up earlier in the week from a sale on GunsAmerica. I've been looking, on an off, for a Free Pistol for a long time, but you don't see them offered for sale too often.

Congratulations Searcher. I wondered who picked that up. I was keeping an eye on it, not to buy it but just to watch to see how long it would take to sell. You just hardly ever see these. Anyway, it didn't take long. Glad one of our guys got it. Great score....... !!
That's a real nice addition to any Walther collection.

Thanks, jujonte. I've had my eye out for some time for one of these, and the only guy who has them in stock (yes, that's the guy) wants a couple of fortunes. It was a nice surprise to see this show up recently. I'm told that with a bench rest and a steady hand, it will provide a group the size of a quarter at 25 yards. Guess I'll have to find someone with a steady hand to see if that's true.

Very nice purchase, and I might add that these are shot offhand at 50 meters in international shooting and yes, with 1" groups (or less).

The pistols themselves are amazingly accurate. It still takes a fine and steady hand, however.
