experience with Remington subsonic 22LR hollow point

Anyone use Remington subsonic 22LR hollow point in their P22?
I was offered a box but know nothing about it. After reading how finicky The P22 is to ammo I would like some feed back before trying.

Welcome to the forum, 17.

The answers you'll receive will vary from person to person and gun to gun; some P22s will eat anything, according to their owners, while others are finicky and will only digest the good stuff: Mini-mags and Stingers and the like. But it's safe to say that the sub-sonic Remington ammo would fall on the least-likely-to-perform-well list, given previous posts here and elsewhere.

You might want to run a search here and see what pops up. You also might want to try the RimfireCentral Forum to see what the folks there have to say about Remington ammo these days. Here's a link:

GOod luck.

Alas, you have found someone who has tried the Remington sub sonic. I bought a box from Wally World to try them out and they worked fine in my P22. Mine is of a later production I assume (bought last summer). The sub sonic 22's are not as noisy as the HV's and cycled OK.

My guns very well maintained and will cycle anything including every subsonic round I've tried.

I think a majority of the problems people have are due to poor cleaning. You must clean the barrel every 250 rounds or so and you shoud clean the barrel when you change brands of ammo.
