Adjust KKM/uit trigger

Looking at mine there is a pylon type screw in front of the trigger- picture attached.

You twist it with a screwdriver and it pops out. The trigger is very light after that. There is a small screw in the centre of this pylon too but I'm not sure what it does. The manual speaks of the screw in front of the trigger to adjust the weight but it doesn't feel like it does anything.

Does anyone know much about these triggers? What is the best way to adjust st them and ho exactly does this pillar work?

Aris, the trigger looks like those I've seen on some KKJs--a dual-function unit that can work as a single-set trigger. From what you've said, it looks as if the "set" mode is with the plunger in front of the trigger guard out. In that mode, the pull-weight is just a few ounces. When the plunger is screwed in, as I understand it, you are in regular single-stage mode, with a heavier pull.

The holes in the trigger guard allow weight adjustments to be made without removing the barreled-action from the stock. The large slotted screw near the front of the trigger guard (but inside it) is, I believe, the one that governs weight of pull. I have a Walther with a similar-looking trigger (albeit without the plunger ahead of the trigger guard), and that's how mine works.

I must admit that I'm absolutely no Walther expert, so take my comments with the caution they deserve. With luck, someone on this forum who really understands Walther rifles will chime in!

Aris, do you have a Walther manual? If not I have a PDF file of the Walther KK manual that discusses trigger adjustments among other things. I tried to attach it to a post on this forum, but was told it was too large for the forum. If you'll email me through the forum, I'll send it to you as an email attachment.
