Factory NS PPS Model

Is it likely this model (WAP10008) was a limited run (like the OD model) and not have the current BB manufacture code? I am trying to decide whether or not to purchase this model, or just get a non-NS version, and add the NS later. It's more important for me to get the BB code model than to have factory NS, but if I can get the NS from the factory with the BB code that would be ideal.

I can't say for sure if 10008 was a limited model or not, but from what I have seen/heard, aftermarkets might be your best bet- There have been multiple reports of the tubes going dim on the 10008 PPS- I didn't want to believe it myself, but I witnessed it firsthand this past weekend at a gun show up here. I wish that I would have checked the year code on it though, but I didn't. Hopefully they have addressed that problem.

Just downloaded the most recent Walther catalog, and the WA10008 is not on the list. Guess I will be getting the WA10001.

I don't think they list every sku in the catalog - I've seen the night sight packages come out periodically over the past few years and don't remeber it ever being specifically listed. My experince is that you're better off getting afermarket sights anyway. The big advantage used to be that the night sight package came with three mags when the others had only one. I may be mistaken, but from what I've heard is that the PPS is now shipping with two mags anyway.

I purchased the NS PPS from a local gun store two weeks ago and it was a BB year group piece.

I will let y'all know on Thursday/Friday. Ordered WAP100008 last week from Healy Arms in Arizona. After calling many online retailers (including Bud's) Healy waas the only one to confirm that it comes with all 3 mags, case, night sights, and it will be brand new from manufacturer. It SHOULD be BB code - but we shall see

Picked up my WAP10008 today for local FFL in Michigan. It came with 3 mags, but it looked like they had to order the 6 round mag seperatly after they received it from dealer.

Very happy as this is my first handgun and did a lot of research before buying. Many online rate this as the best concealed carry gun on the market.
