CMR-201 for PPS

Anybody tried the Crimson Trace Rail Master Laser Sight yet ? I was wondering how it would fit the PPS.

I am reserving my next laser as a Viridain C5L...but I would like to see this laser on a PPS because the cost is pretty good if the product is also good quality.

My EDC gun is a PPK/S with Lasergrips, and I love shooting with lasers. The main reason is because of the hard-to-find "sweet spot" in my no-line trifocals. This makes a front sight focus difficult and slow to achieve. Lasers let you focus on the target itself, where you are not using the trifocal part of the glasses at all.

I just acquired a PPQ, and the CMR looks like the best approach at the moment for rail guns. With great emphasis today being put on keeping that trigger finger extended outside the trigger guard until you actually shoot, the use of the trigger finger to turn the unit on is the next best thing convenience-wise to the original grip activation of my Lasergrips.

Was looking at this myself. Noted that per their site you need to have 1 1/16" from the front of the trigger guard to the closest edge of the recoil lug (from the trigger).

Measured this on the PPS 9mm and its about 1 1/32! Its so close that it might fit. If not, gaining that little would likely be fairly easy with a Dremel... though I hate doing such things.

I've just purchased a new Eberlestock pack w/extras and added a mint, never fired (till yesterday ) Raven Arms MP-25 to our collection. Wife might growl a bit if I purchase this too soon lol.

I would wager that, if the laser did not fit, one could always return the laser. I don't care for having a laser as much as I want a light/night sights for my carry gun, but I insist the GF carry with a laser (she is not the best under high stress situations and god forbid she ever need to use the laser I think it would be an aid in accuracy). Though she is a good shot.

I just ordered a CMR 201 for 115.00. Should have it mid next week. Will report if I have a problem. I called CT and they say it will fit but they have not tried it yet.

If it works I will order a custom holster for the little set up...

Thanks for the replies. Having received a LG-448 for my XDm , I've been looking for a laser for my PPS. And once you have a laser then you need a new holster. The Viridain is very nice , but for the price you could almost get a CT and a custom holster.

Just installed the CTrace CMR-201

Love it. Easy on/off with the trigger finger. comes with 4 different shims for different guns. Listed the pps to use shim 2 and it was a perfect fit.

And what about the profile of the gun with the laser on it? Does it protrude?

On a similar note, are there any rail lights that are flush in width with the rest of the pistol? Those Viridian C5L are listed as 1.3" wide..
