Here's a couple of pictures of my 'Bart modified' PPQ 4" with Viper, carrying in a modified Safariland holster. Me likes.......

A couple of my helpers.

I have found that the red dot overhang on the slide was not as aesthetically appealing as those with the adapter bases. 1" red dot on a .8" slide top. I even thought that it may be detrimental to racking the slide, but this turned out to be a non-issue.

But I was thinking why not put some black silicon in the gap? Easy to do, more of a finished look, can be removed if desired, keeps the plate in place when you replace the battery, maybe even feels better when racking.

So, are you going to do it first, or am I?

Hee, hee.......you won't believe it. A piece of masking tape......no sheet. Can't believe its stayed on this long. I did order a roll of 1/16" wide pin striping tape, and as soon as the masking tape comes off, I'll use a piece of the pin striping tape.

I used gaff tape for mine.

It is holding up so well that I can't get motivated to do something more permanent.

OK, this is just a teaser......I just received a phone call from Bart. He was obviously excited to tell me that he'd just finished milling the slide on one of my PPQ 5 inchers for a Deltapoint Pro. He went on and on, telling me about the custom jig/s he built and the additional rotary head for his milling machine....

And now that he's practiced on my 5 incher, he can do his....lol.

I'm really looking forward to getting the slide back, assembling the gun and heading to the range.

I'll provide a range report and multiple pictures in the near future.

Bart has already done a 4" Q for me, and I wound up making a IWB holster for this combo, as well as ordering a Kydex OWB holster from KT-Mech to accommodate a 4/5" Q with Viridian X5L. I've quickly come to love the 'red dot', Viridian, KT-Mech combo. I was having a hard time finding the red dot at night, but if I use the light, I can silhouette the outline of the frame, and THERE's the dot. Absolutely awesome!!!!! At least for me.

I can appreciate people that have the ability to design and manufacture things. Looking forward to seeing your mount.
