Cabela's has PPQs in 9mm and .40 S&W on sale.
Their regular price of $699 for $589. They had several in 40 S&W in stock in my local store.

Three other gun stores near here, have had them priced over $700, and all have sold. Guess it is a good price where I am only then.

If you can find a site other than the bigs, they can be had for around $525-550 online and some individuals feel that is expensive.

I suppose it is when you know they were selling for $480 about 5 months ago, but.. change is the only thing certain in life

You must be in CA, every where else $589 was and is a norm.

Yep that's how much I paid for mine last month. No sale.
