Price for a PPQ

I have been a short time member but i have followed all the PPQ threads with great interest. I own other handguns but constanly looking at the PPQ. That said I went to a large gun show in Des Moines Ia today hoping to get my hands on a PPQ just to see what all the exitement was about. You guys were right this gun feels fantastic and points very well for me. Down side to this story is there were PPQ 40 mm to fondle but not a 9 mm to be found. Really want to find this gun in 9mm. Pricing on the PPQ,s that I looked at ranged from $500.00 to $600.00. So I'm asking you guy's is the prcing in reasonable range and what letter's on the slide should I be looking for? The one's I saw were FAJ and FAK.

You can get brand new PPQ 9MM from Buds for $515 shipped.

Walther PPQ9 9mm 4.1" 15Rd. Black $515.00 SHIPS FREE

You can get a better deal than that at Jet Guns, where I bought mine from with a very smooth transaction shipped to my FFL, when they get them back in stock.

Walther Ppq 9MM 4.1 Synth. Grip 15R - $482.00 : Jet Guns, Smokin' Deals

The FAJ/FAK are simply serial number range. They are all are good.

Just keep these details in mind.
When you call my local Tulsa OKlahoma dealer Sooner Guns. Only one man answers the phone. Mark Leggett it's a one man store, Mark answers phone Mark orders all firearms mark unpacks all shipments. Mark makes all pricing deals. Mark sells in store or ships to your FFL.
Anything you wish to ask about Mark is the the one that answers the questions.
The buck (Firearm) stops at marks desk.

Now when you call JET GUNs or BUDS GUNs who answers the phone? Who gets the shipment ready to ship it? Who stands behind the sale?

Last year and including this JanuraryI have bought from Marks small store one Arsenal AK-31 5.45x39 one FNSCAR 16s 5.56 one Walther P99 9mm one Walther PPQ 9mm one Walther S&W PPK/s 9mm two Colt 1911s.45s one SXE one Mod. 70 series .45.

So if you feel Marks price is to high you can speak to him yourself.

PPQ 9mm:
$479 at Newington Gun Exchange (Newington CT)
and just down the street a couple of miles...
$629 at Hoffman's Gun Center

I did say when I called Hoffman's, 'No, not the First Edition with the threaded barrel. Just the standard PPQ.' He said, 'Yep, $629.'

i too am about to purchase a 9mm ppq...i have been looking for the best price and there are some great prices out there, but unfortunately so many of these guns dont have the spent casing that is required in good ol MD...so the best i have see were on grabagun.com...something like 506 shipped with spent casing, if you're into that kind of thing

I got mine at the LGS for $560 out the door with taxes and Background. He even "forgot" to charge for the MD required internal lock.

They stand behind their sale. I verified that on Gunbroker they both had outstanding feedback from purchasers with near 100 percent rating and thousands of transactions.

I never needed to talk to anyone, never needed to in order to place the order, and that is well withing my comfort zone. I placed the order from their website and entered the address of my FFL - that was it.

Right after that I got an email confirmation and then a couple days later emails with shipping confirmation and tracking number.

All so easy and at $489 shipped. Since I used my charge card I have the option of using them to resolve a dispute in the rare case their was actually a problem.

I don't mind buying local and often do but my LGS were selling the PPQ for almost $200 more.
