Something wicked this way comes...
![]() This is being sent off to Mark Housel....see if he can work some magic. If all works out, in a few weeks I'll have something to show here...

the problem I see is the "round" top of the PPQ
I haven't taken a close look to see if I would try it... but I admire you for doing it... if it works it will be a sweet set up....

I'm definitely interested in seeing how this turns out. The top of the striker channel should be pretty close to the top of the slide, so I'm not sure if it is possible without either adding metal, or adding some type of mount.
The picture in post #2 in this thread shows an X-ray style picture of a P99, but the cutout for the striker and FPB should be identical on the PPQ. Anyone know what this little guy does? You would want to leave room for both the striker and FPB to travel, and keep in mind that that tab on the top of the striker is still there on the PPQ striker assembly, even though there is no decocker. |

I'd like to see it happen.
BUIS should be interesting. |

Indeed...the BUIS will simply be milled into the slide (using Glock parts probably). There isn't a single available suppressor sight I could find in the world made for the P99/PPQ (odd when they ship the gun suppressor-ready...)
I imagine he'll email me shortly if it won't be possible. Regarding the tapering slide - absolutely, the RMR will not sit dead flush with the sides unfortunately. There will be some overhang/gap on the edges. If it's not possible, I sell off the RMR, lose $15 and the cost of shipping, and move on. |

Well, got the call from Mark - and he said it's doable...but I'm not going to do it right now. The work would total around $350 or so (includes a bit of work, an adapter etc.). That plus the RMR is too rich for my blood right now, and I'm spending more than I should anyway.
I told him I'll hold off for now. That's a good 3000+ rounds of ammo I could be training with. It was worth a shot. |

I appreciate the fact that you let us know that it could be done.
While I selfishly hope you change your mind just so I can see a picture of this thing , $350 does sound like a lot.

So, was he suggesting the need for a custom mount to attach in place of your normal rear sights?
