PPQ in another post on this thread somebody talked about two different part numbers for the meprolight sights which ones did you get?

Also on another post somebody mentioned that the front sight might have to be slightly filed to fit flush did you need to file it at all?

Thanks.

Thumbs up Meprolight Info...

Meprolight shows three part numbers:

ML 18800 - P99

ML 18801 - P99C

ML 18802 - PPS

I have no idea about the differences between the three. I ordered the ML 18800.

The rear sight fit the dovetail perfectly. The front sight did not require any filing and again, fit perfectly!

The differences are the 18800 and 18801 are adjustable like the stock PPQ sight, the 18802 are not. You would think the 18800 and 18801 would be different sizes since one is for the full size and one is for the compact, but I have both and cannot tell any difference between the two.

Trijicon and point of aim...

I just installed a new set of Trijicons, green and yellow. Thanks to all who posted here on detailed instructions making life easier for others.

I did notice my point of aim vs point of impact was a little off and was wondering if anyone else encountered this? Factory sites were dead on sharp whereas Trijicons are shooting low (2-3 inches) from point of aim. I kind of wish there was elevation adjustment as well as windage.

Anyone notice this?

Make the 3/16" socket work...

If you read through the thread there are some very detailed instructions and photos. A 3/16" socket worked for me, i just touched it to a grinder to take off about a 1/16" getting rid of the tapered opening, then spun it on the grinder taking off a little width on the outside perimeter. Pop it onto a 1/4" hand driver and good to go!

I stuffed the 3/16" opening full of paper towel, turned it up right, then set the head of the screw into the opening pushing the paper towel down a hair. This keeps it in place so it doesn't fall all the way in. Put the slide hole over the up turned bolt, site over the bolt, and start turning. As with others comments I put a drop of red loctite on the threads to make sure it stays in place.

Good luck

Yes I have the same problem, mine are green green, I think the front sight is higher than the factory one that's why we are shooting low. We should call Trijicon.

Can you measure both of them?

Lightbulb Shooting accurately...

...I installed the Meprolights. I sighted the gun last week at the range.

I had to make some obvious windage adjustments.

The gun was hitting the X in the 10 circle at 15 & 25 yards. I did not shoot at any other distances.
