I just picked up a pp in 7.65 and it has a red/brown tint. Its a wartime 1943 i think. It has brown grips. I've never seen one like this and was wondering if anyone else knew anything about it or if this coloring was common. The trigger gaurd, hammer, saftey, and mag release are all black. I'll try and upload a pic . I'll include a newer pp 380 in pic so the color difference will show up. Any info is appreciated.

That coloring almost looks like some of the old Brownings, Winchesters, etc. from years back. I wonder if it is an aging process(?)

Not sure, the thing that puzzles me is the other parts are black. Seems like if from aging then they too would look the same.
