Magazine Finger Guard Removal

Hi all,
How do I go about getting a finger guard off? Gander Mtn only had the finger guard mags and I bought a X-grip to slide over the finger guard-less PPK/S mag.
thanks

Yup, push the little button on the bottom, slide the finger rest out, and watch as the spring retainer and the spring fly out and land ten or more feet away...

WARNING: Point bottom of magazine in a safe direction. Do not aim bottom of magazine at anything that you are not willing to destroy.

A couple of drinks followed by dinner and dancing is always a good start.

That's hilarious. If I wrote something like that, somebody would be offended and I'd have to apologize.

I find your supposition offensive, Mike.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

You do have to pay attention around here to have any idea of what's going on.

ETA-
YoungGun, what did you do with your magazine after you removed the OEM floorplate?

After it flew across the room, (haha) I put the finger guard on my 6 round clip without one and put the normal base off it on the 7rd then put my xgrip on. I really like the xgrip and 7 rd, its smaller than the 6rd with the finger guard.

Assumed you had a replacement; just wondered from where. CDNN sells them from time to time. Neither Walther nor I can decide which config is the better, so you get one of each.

Sorry, Mike. Didn't mean to put Yankee Golf under too much pressure...
