Slide won't open

Came home tonight, removed magazine from my gun, went to pull slide back to eject round in chamber. Slide is locked close...will not move at all. This is a PPK/S only a few hundred rounds through it and it has been back to Walther for the recall about 3 years ago. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have a suggestion but I promised not to make it.

Does it have anything to do with pulling the trigger and see what happens?

I can't speak for MGMike, of course, but I would suggest that you pack it back to S&W and have them either fix it or give you a refund for a pistol that will work reliably under any circumstance; this one apparently doesn't do that.

Do not send that gun via mail with a round in it! Big no no. Automatic trouble

Amen. Get on the blower with Smith and find out what you are to do. Be prepared to explain in some detail.

Spray a generous amount of Break Free down the barrel, let it soak overnight and see if it will eject.

Great idea but I would suggest using Kroil or PB Blaster as both get into very tight places. Remove the grips first!

An individual cannot send a handgun via "mail" in any case! Only FFL's can mail handguns.

Take it out and shoot it. The call S&W if you need to.
