Thumbs down PK380 Take down clip / slide won't budge

Sponsored Links
Hi all
New to the form but not new to Walters.

I have a new PK380 that was just recently purchased.

I put about 50 rounds down the barrel just to try it. Not happy!

Wanted to perform a good cleaning when I got it home but could not pull down the take down clip or bracket( like on my Walther P22.)

The bracket will not budge no mater what position the slide is moved.

I wanted to check the owners manual just for reference but there were no pages 19 -20 (couver cleaning).

I called the number in the owners manual and remained on hold for about 45 min and hung up after 5:00 pm no one ever picked up just constant BS
1 800 372-6454

In addition the blue on the barrel is molded or lacking for better a term. Will try to post a picture.

IF I COULD THROW THIS PIECE OF SHI$ THROUGH S&W WINDOW I WOULD.

Any idears other than the one above would be helpful.u

The "one above" actually sounds like a good idea.

Contact Walther Arms in Arkansas. Just know that it's taken them longer to get up and running that initially anticipated. You can find them here:

PK380 has a key!

I was unawair that I needed a key
in order to remove the slide!

Because the owners manual was missing Pages
from the factory, (nice quality control) I had no way of knowing. In addition the p22 I own does not require a special key.

I have sent the gun back to the factory because the blueing is comming off the barrel. If you look at the picture you can see the problem. This is a brand new weapon!

Just thought some one else may have the same question someday.

Hope to see it soon.

(This pdf does not appear properly until you choose the Adobe Reader option.)

The barrel appears to have a common black oxide coating.
I have long thought they should ship with the barrel brushed, uncoated, and oiled,
since normal wear ruins the black finish.

But your barrel is worse than usual.
