New guy with a nickel pk380

First of all, I am new to the site, but not to the world of firearms. Just new to Walthers. I am really more of a Ruger guy. Really like the SR line, but needed something more for cc and did not like what Ruger had to offer. I know that the LCP and the LC9 are getting really good reviews but I just cannot warm up to the screwy trigger on these guns.
So, that brings me to my Walther purchase. A week and a half ago my wife and I sold her LCP and she fell in love with the PK. After bringing it home and firing it myself I new that I had to have one, so back to Gander Mountain.
Found a nickel version of the PK, which brings me to my question. Does anybody have any experience with the nickel slide? Just curious how well it wears.

Welcome to the forum

My Pk is the nickel slide model and I'm very glad I went with the nickel. I looked at a couple used PKs and did not like the way the standard version wears over time and holstering. It's just personal preference for me. I've owned it a couple years now and there have been no issues with the nickel or slide. I normally carry it inside the waste band and there are absolutely no signs of wear. I also have a Walther P22 in nickel, they look like twins. I've had it longer with no issues. Both look and function well.

I wish we had purchased the nickle slide, the black already has a few nicks in it that wouldn't be there in nickle. Oh well, live and learn.
