PK380 one shot issues

hello all. need some help. bought a pk380 for the wife. Everytime she fires the gun she can only get one round off. The second round chambers but when the trigger is pulled there is no firing. i tried it and it happened to me. i was able to cock hammer and pulled thetrigger with success. whats going on?

I'm new to handguns but learned with the PK380 the safety switch is backwards from what you would think it would be. I couldn't get mine to fire the first time I shot it and then realized I misread the part about the safety switch. Just a thought. I love my PK380. Good luck.

We tried the safety and I tried to shoot. I figured my wife might be doing something wrong. It happend to me.

What I find strange is that I pull the hammer manually and I can fire.

Had that exact problem. In my case it was a batch of reloads that was a bit too long. The slide would almost get to battery, trigger functions and hammer drops, actually had a slight firing pin dent in the primer, but no bang. Were you using factory ammo? If so you might want to try another brand. Also, when you are at the range, and have a round chambered, check to see if the slide is all the way forward.
