today i took apart the new pk380 to clean it, i was shocked to see multiple patches of brown places inside, look like rust to me, i went back to the dealer, he said it's discolor, i don't believe it, we opened up 2 more "new" pk380, both showed some brown place but much less than what I had. i decided to get a replacment. i don't know if this is normal for other new pk380? lesson learned: take apart the gun to examine inside with a flashlight if you could, even if it's "new", the QA seems pretty bad, at least in terms of pk380

Brown places? Did you get any photos ... or is possible to get some photos? I'm sure that every PK380 owner on the board would be interested in this.

This should help:

Tips for shooting, and posting, great photos

Signing up for Photobucket is easy, and painless.

they are just rust, after taking picture with flash, it's even more clearer
i also noticed the guns are not filled with grease, only some thin oil, i have seen gun new in box filled with thick grease, so i think they are not really "new" from factory but have been opened, even though the dealer claim they are directly from manufacturer

went to shoot at the range, 100 rounds without any problem, fiocchi FMJ only

only 2 concerns, one is the shell seems all eject to the right but towards me, some even hit my head, is this normal or anything can be done about this?

2nd is when i examined the shell, the identation on the primer is off center a bit, such that the edge of the hit is at the center, is this something i should worry about, or anything can be done to fix this?

Alot of good info. I am in the market for a PK380 (along with a PPQ or PPS), this is a great resource for the uninformed. I do have 2 questions: What is BB? and what after what serial numbers should I assume is a good product? Thanks.

Keep in mind that the PK380 is famous for shooting low. I believe it's a problem with the front sight being to tall. I am able to adjust my sight picture to compensate but the sights do not work if you align the three dots as you would with every other sight on the market. If you are OK with that then go for it. The gun is actually very nice otherwise and since I trained myself to compensate for the sight issue, it is also very accurate. Also I had to adjust windage right from the factory as it was also shooting left of center.
