Chime in. PK380 Good or bad experience.
I want to get an idea on the rate of fail for this gun. I think it is high. I would like to have all of the owners of this thing tell me if they have had a good or bad experience. I guess" good or bad" is subjective. We will go with" problems or no problems". I think we will find the 20% or so have had some sort op problem. I bet 10% regret buying the thing.

My Dad has one for CCW. I've only been to the range with it once, but put two boxes through. It did well, but it's size didn't make me want to buy one. I own P22s & P99s so was fine with the grips and ergos. But unless I target practiced with .380, it's just not a pistol I would want. The price isn't bad, though.

I have shot several boxes through my PK380 without any issues. I even bought it used in LNIB condition. So no complaints here. Use decent ammo though, I here it can be picky about the ammo used. I have used Winchester white box for target shooting without issue.

Nothing subjective about my review, the weapon has been 100%. Excelent feeding of every brand I have tried, ball and hollow point alike. It is a nickel slide option and looks and feels great, for my tastes anyway. Accuracy is very good. It is an early 2010 model. I have two magazines and both have functioned flawlessly. I like the features and the cleaning routine is no big deal.

No problems with the pistol itself.
My complaints are with lack of support when it comes to parts and accessories. The constant mag availability problem is a joke, doesn't anyone at Walther/Umarex/S&W have a clue about predicting supply based on sales? The seemingly unsolvable problem with the failures-to-eject/extract the spent shells is also spooky. I mean come on in two years of production they haven't figured out what's causing this problem and corrected it? A few teething problems with a new model is to be expected but when we're still hearing about this same issue on a fairly regular basis two years in to production that's just plain ridiculous. |

The "problem/no problem" tally would not be informative,
but the "regret purchase" is on point. My guesses, if responses were categorized as follows ... 1. Annoyances: 50 pct of owners 2. Non-critical problems: 35 pct (me here) 3. Rare critical failures: 15 pct 4. Frequent critical failures: 4 pct 5. Regret purchase (no smith skills): 25 pct 6. Regret purchase (basic smith skills): 10 pct 7. Worked out issues, but still regret: 5 pct (I regret time spent; but parameters for wife rule.)

One problem that was promptly fixed - broken safety.
One minor irritation - an exercise in patience getting the spring back into the slide. Not one regret buying the gun. |

No problems or complaints here.
The PK380 replaced a Interarms/Ranger PPK/S as my EDC. I prefer a hammer fired handgun with a manual safety. PK380 is slightly larger, a little less weight and the grip feels better. It carries 1 more round and the locked-breech design makes racking the slide much easier.

Oh I love the ergonomics of this little pistol!
It just feels great in my hand and shoots like a dream. I just wish the makers weren't treating it like a bastard child project that they've stuck on a back burner. |

I guess I will be one of the owners that have had problems. From the first firing session to present, this gun has been nothing but problems for me. The more I learn about this gun ,the more I regret buying it. I do not believe you could give me another one. I am not sure I will ever buy another Walther.
