Finally got one!!!!!

so, I went into Lotus Gun Works, in Louisville ky, looking for a shotgun to keep in the garage. While waiting for one of the reps to free up, I was walking around, happened into the 'used' handgun section, and found, a mint looking walther p99 gen1, .40 for $349.

2 mags, all the back straps, and factory case.

I looked at the shotgun, then looked at the p99, and ended up leaving with the p99.

I'm sooooooo happy.

woot!

I will preface this, by saying I have had a Maruzen Gas blowblack airsoft version for a few years, and its my primary side arm for our mil-sim games. I love it. here is a quick comparison of the two.

the one on the left is a maruzen gas blowback airsoft replica. (it is the one with the whited out trade marks)
the one on the right is a gen1 walther p99 .40 imported by S&W

I gotta say, Maruzen did a great job on this replica, as the DA / SA trigger 'spacing' is dead on. the real steel is obviously a slightly heavier pull, and the slide on the Maruzen is a tad lighter, being a polymer. however after digging into them, the maruzen is a 9mm replica, as the slide is tapered at the front, which in the RS, lightens it up a tad for the 9mm.

I know. I saw the price, and I could not pass up that deal, finding a g1, in good shape, under $400, is hard enough, getting the second mag, the backstraps and the box, was icing on die cake.
