I find that story really hard to believe, just a story your local gun shop made up IMHO.

That was a joke, my friend—a parody of all the bogus, "They're discontinuing the P99," stories over the years.

Just wanted to show how silly these rumors are, and how easily they get started.

Darn and I just ran out and bought 25 of them PPQs. Now I am stuck with them. Anyone wanting one as Walther are discontinuing them. I am giving them away selling them at a discount price of $900 Each+ Shipping.

Sound like a familiar repair shop that caters to Walther.

They ARE discontinuing them!!! I was at my LGS and I heard a guy who knows a gun that works in the receiving department at CDNN and he has it on good authority that CDNN will soon be selling them for $300 OBO. Or was that the Polish version that has never been fired.

Funny!! It wouldn't be hard to believe someone saying this at a gun store though. Some of the crap that the people at gun stores say makes me laugh. The things I've heard some of the staff say can be pretty far from the truth. I had a girl at a gun store tell me she doesn't like the Walther brand because she doesn't like cracked slides?? I was like "uhhh ok" and speechless. I then asked what she likes and I got the stereo typical answer "I only own Glocks" and I just shook my head and left.
