I recently read Walther will continue production of the P99AS in addition to production of the new PPQ. As an owner and enthusiast of the P99AS, it prompted my following question: Do you, Walther Germany, possess any plans or considerations of updating the P99AS frame to the even more ergonomic PPQ frame, while still retaining the AS trigger system?

I also ask the above question as I have noticed the P22 wears a new frame, similar in design to the PPQ; and I have noticed the P99AS and PPQ frames themselves, absent of sear housing assemblies and other small parts, appear extremely similar mechanically, although they are ergonomically and aesthetically different.

I know a few other Walther aficionados who may like to know the answer, and any information is appreciated.

No it's not scheduled to produce the P99AS in the PPQ design. Yes it's right that the complete P22 line was redesigned but not the civil P99AS. Sorry

If they're not planning on doing it, the only way to possibly make it happen is to fill their inbox with requests for it. Same for the idea of a PPQc.
