Sneak Peak of new holster

Sponsored Links
Sneak Peak...horsehide, don't have it in my hands yet, but i have 4 of his already so i know the quality. i'm showing the magnet that he coated in kydex then rivited to the holster to make the magnetic field for the laser to turn on and off. he is mailing out tomorrow, so more pics when i get it with the actual P99AS full size w/laser in it.

I just had to pause for a moment to comprehend how brilliant that is.
Is it a custom magnetic reed switch or is this a commercial laaaaaaaaaaazor unit?

TDR911 Auto-Laser is his site. he is a member here. the laser is awesome, and some may love his holsters, he makes enough of them. very small laser does not add any length or width to the rail portion of the gun, i'm guessing it is a rare earth magnet that turns on/off the field. i was playing with just the laser and any magnet will turn it off, but the rare earth does it quick. what you do is turn on the laser with a rocker switch (very small) then insert into holster, mag field deactivates it, draw it---auto on and you can use your finger to operate the toggle switch. makes a left and right hand unit for a lot of different guns. check his site out.

So it seems you have a magnetic switch in series with a manual rocker, is there an over-ride in case the magnetic portion craps out and stays disconnected when you draw?

I'm not 100% sold on the laser concept for EDC, but as a training aid or HD tool it has a lot of good points.

the rocker is the on off, very solid. Redfish is the maker of the Auto Laser and i'm sure he can answer all of the tech questions, i'm just running the holster show for right now. I've had CT's on a lot of guns and i do like them, inside or low light outside, not worth a crap in the daylight though. i really like the lasermax concept, too bad they don't make for all guns and they are pricey.
