I can live with the fixed sights and shoot competition with mine. It just means that you will have to choose ammo carefully and when you find the right ammo, getting a few thousand rounds of the same lot.
I reload for my P210 with my own cast bullets and have a load that shoots POI to POA. How much are the P210-2, or P49s costing now? |

I found two sites that have P210s for sale: Simpson Ltd in Galesburg, IL who sells from $1900 to $2650 and Roco Firearm Technology in Bandera, TX who sells from $2390 to $3575.
Roco does have a P210-6 but want $3145 for it. Wow! I'm more interested in the Simpson offerings. They have several Swiss Army P210s with holsters, and Simpson's asking price is $2650. |

Simpson has the P210s starting around $1850, why not going with one of those? This one seems excellent
SIG P-210 The P210 can be shot a lot without noticeable loss of accuracy. There are also aftermarket sights availbale, Roco has one of those pictured on a P210-2. Original sights are slimmer and contoured to fit the top of the slide. The pistol for $1875 has the hammer spur at the original length and this was the first thing I cut on mine. This is an indicator to me, that the gun hasn't been shot a lot. The military models are priced higher as collectibles and have a second magazine. Those mags aren't easy to find and are expensive. It took me a few years to have 6 spare mags at reasonable prices. |

I'm more drawn to the military ones because I am looking for a collectable that I will shoot from time to time.

Well, I have the collectible that was only made 5,000 times but shoot it a lot. The P210-4 is rare amd the BGS was always stringent on quality control, they took the best guns, the rest went to the police.

You're doing a very good job in persuading me to get the P210-4. I just went to the Roco and Gunbroker sites to see how much the P210-4 cost.

You can buy three PPQ model Walthers for the price of one of these ... but any port in a storm, I guess.
For that matter, you could get two or three (depending on condition) Walther P5s for that price.

Agreed. But is better to have a different pistol here and there from the Walthers to add a little spice to the collection.

Searcher, I am somehow sure, that you have never shot a P210 from that remark alone! The P88 of Piexcel did also cost more than a P5 or PPQ. Don't limit yourself to see the world evolving around Walther pistols only, while Walther has brought forth many fine firearms, it is always good to go to explore new horizons ... and you can find amazing things out there.
