Anybody See This on GB? Did the early P88 boxes look like this?

interesting looking box. It does not appear to be original from the factory, rather later covered in a material that does not even look like leather.

It looks a bit like roofing tar to me. The P88 on the other hand, looks terrific.

Someone did some crappy overlay on it. If you look close you can see the original brown box around the wording label. It is an older P88. My P88 doesn't have a dove tailed front sight it is fixed right in the slide. Or mine may be older? Hummm. Gotta check.
