Thanks Scubatiger......New P5 purchase
Just bought the P5 he had for sale yesterday. What a beautiful pistol and in pristine condition. Looking forward to Scubatiger getting his range up and running next year. Thanks again.

Good for you; that is a terrific looking pistol. And you can't top a P5, in my view, for overall firearm quality. Welcome aboard; enjoy your time with the new toy and on this forum.

I will probably be going to the range with a friend this coming thursday to test her out. We bought about 500 rounds yesterday for the range. First my friend has to pick up his newly purchased PPS and then we'll head over to blow some money. I tried to talk him into a PPQ but the S fits his hand better. I'm not much of a fan of the plastic guns. I'm sure they're good but I like the heft of metal. Down the road I hope to get a nice older PP/PPK and possibly a P88. That's probably a pipe dream as the P88's are so expensive. Thanks.

Well, you certainly have selected a fine bit of Walther history to own. Everybody who has an interest in firearms should own at least one Walther PP or PPK model, in my view -- nothing nicer. And if you look around and are patient, you might just find that the P88 (or the P88C) is affordable; I've seen a few of them advertised under $900 in recent months.
Good luck, in any event. And keep in mind that Walthers can be addictive: one often leads to another, and then to another, and then to another ... |

ScubaTiger is a real Gentleman as are so many on this board. I have dealt with him three or four times now and he is a man of his word, very patient and great communication. No worries in any of his presentations.

Yes he is. I met FTF with him to purchase the P5. Besides the purchase he spent the time to fill me in on the history of the gun and also his plans for his range. Very pleasant transaction overall. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy. Wish I could afford to buy his P88's!

Thanks for the feedback JPK and Bruce - you're both a pleasure to deal with as well. I hope you really enjoy it. And I hope to have that new shooting spot for you this time next year.
One of the reasons I had to part with that one was that I just picked up a really amazing find - a P5 Compact L102A1 model. A dealer had it listed as a standard commercial P5 Compact and I just happened to stumble into on to it right after it was listed. Better to be lucky than good sometimes ! Will try to post some pics up soon.
