I have not seen too many topics about the PPQ 22 and how it compares to the P22. I already own the P22, and after a few mods, it still is a mediocre plinker. FTE with about 1 or 2 per magazine.
I am wondering if I should just upgrade to the PPQ .22 for my main plinker and sell this thing before the slide eventually breaks. But I have seen a few cases where the slide release on the PPQ 22 is rusted brand new? Is this a common problem with them? How do they compare to the P22? Better, worse, same?
Pros on the PPQ 22
-Full size vs ultra small P22
-Same look and feel of PPQ
-12 rnd mags vs 10 rnd
-More durable than the P22 (slide breaks)
-button release vs paddle (just not a fan)
-rear sights are not to be desired
-comes with only one mag
-slightly higher price tag than P22
I am really thinking hard to sell/consign my P22 and get the PPQ 22 at this point.
