Got two boxes of Federal Auto Match Target 22 LR 40 Grain LRN 325 Rnds for $53.30 each from AMMOFAST.com That's $.16 a round. INSANE!! What's even MORE insane is that that's CHEAP!!

A 1600 round can of CCI Plano .22 LR 40-Grain ammo at Academy is $119.99 that's only $.07 a round. Good luck ever finding any though, some of the LGS's around here will get their hookups at Academy to hold it for them for a kickback and then repackage it in ZIPLOCK BAGS to sell for almost $1 a round... for .22lr!!

I actually still have 5 boxes of CCI AR TACTICAL 375 round boxes and they are going for in excess of $100 right now!!!

This is just to show how some places are really ripping people. I bought these at Walmart last Wednesday. Same ammo (325 per box) for $14.27 per box.

I've been checking the Wal-Mart app on my phone.

Day and night, it always shows zero .22lr in the stores in my area.

Just got a box of CCI AR Tactical 375 round box ($50.00), 100 round box of Federal ($20.00), and box of 50 CCI Stingers ($10.00) for $80 total.

One of the LGS is actually breaking up the CCI AR Tactical 375 Round boxes (instead of selling them as a box) into 50 round "loose zip lock bags" and selling them for $20 a bag. Thats roughly $150 a BOX they're making.

I've also noticed they do it with .223 ammo and 9mm ammo. I mean, it's free enterprise, and I can't say I wouldn't do it... but you should definitely see some gun store owners in Forbes this year.

I heard that Wal-Mart ceased updating quantities for AMMO on their app and website. It only shows "Available In Store Only" now and that doesn't mean they have it.

So, maybe a lot of LGS owners are greedy profiteers. (Isn't that sad? Most reputable merchants don't do it.........)

But what's happening to all the ammo that should be going to Wal-Mart and other big-box places, which usually sell much larger volumes than the LGS?

What's happening? Gun owners from around the country are buying it as soon as they spot it on the shelves.

As far as I can tell, at least at the Wal-Marts near me NONE of it is EVER making it to the shelves.

And that should be large quantities.
