First I would soften that claim....leaves you wide open for a lawsuit should the slide break and hit you in the mouth or eye. In fact, I'm sure it could be argued that the O ring caused it. Whether the cause or not...who would know. You do any of my mods....you're on you own...
I ain't liable.Secondly, that is awful expensive for a 10 cent 0 ring. All we need is for someone to determine the correct size for this. Then test it. I'd start with something that is the size of the retaining spring cup with a hole in middle big enough to sit on the outside of the spring. I haven't read any reviews of the part here. My 2 cents. I checked out the page you are inquiring about, you mention it stops slide failure.
in the ad I read that it "Effectively reduces catastrophic failure" a big difference in the words from my POV. The Idea of a recoil buffer is not new, they make them for 1911's , ruger 10/22's even the Kalashnikov family of guns have them. The p22 is not without problems and I welcome anyone with Ideas to make this popular gun better. I now see that the Walther has revised the p22 with the p22Q and I hope they fixed some issues. |

After careful examination in another part of the ad says "Effectively reduces catastrophic failure of the slide". Either way, I would think it would be hard to prove a buffer caused any problems. You would have prove the damage was not done before installing it. Second, being Walther fires 1 test round from the factory who's to say it didn't happen then. Also, there is a obvious problem with the gun and I don't think anyone could deny it.
If you think the product will works, I say, go for it!!! Its worth 10 bucks if it keeps from ruining your weekend. |

Ahhhh...the perfect solution...and all for $.24 each!
The P22 "O" Ring Buffer Thread. - RimfireCentral.com Forums Just think...the Ebay poster is making $9.50 on every sale...how much mark up is that??? Now that is Capitalism with a Capital 'C'! What did PT Barnum say about suckers?? By the way...the words "Stops, Eliminates, Reduces" will all get you a liabilty lawsuit...
