yes, it clogs up the magazines and barrel, and it smells nasty when you fire one with the wax on it, and on some it was almost 1mm thick

i bought the 5250 count, ive shot about 800 of them with no problems at all, BUT for some reason the bullets are coated with wax, take it off if you buy these. i just used my nail and it came right off
I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but are you really suggesting that we pick off the wax from each and every bullet before we fire? =O

I broke mine in with a bunch of CCIs at first but, since then, it has been fed a steady diet of Fed bulk HPs (suppressed or not) and it runs just fine on them.

not all of them have it, some have a very thin coating of it which is no problem, but some of them you can clearly see its way to much, but yes take the wax off the rounds that have a heavy layer of it, or plan on seriously cleaning your gun

I use Winchester 555 and 333 round packs They are JHP. I have only used that and CCI HP and RN in my P22. Not a single issue so far ("knock on wood").

I noticed some of the Winchester plated HP do that as well.

What is better out of Winchester and Federal Plated 22LR? I have not shot any Federal out of my P22. Winchester and CCI have been fine but I haven't shot it allot compared to some of here.

My p22 likes to cycle most of the bulk stuff like Aguila, Federal, Remington and Winchester, but accuracy is terrible. Out of the 4 I would say Remington Golden bullets are more reliable and most consistant of the bunch.

Personally I've had more problems with Federal bulk than Winchester. Mostly Failure to Eject.

I can hit targets pretty well with the bulk stuff. I was shooting clay pigeons and light bulbs yesterday and shattering them. Then I shot the pieces. It was the only gun that I shot yesterday.

CCI's, Federal Auto Match, Federal Target, and of course Remington Golden Bullets. All my .22 handguns shoot these without fail.
