New aftermarket p22 mags source!
I found an ad by Keepshooting.com on Gunbroker for their new aftermarket P22 mags WITH pinky extensions included for a damn good price. I just ordered 4 as the price was to good to pass up ($17-18 versus $30 for OEM) and so was their guarantee they will work.
I will report back

They sure look good. Thanks for being the first one to step into the water with these aftermarket mags, LNL. We look forward to your report.

Based on your post, I ordered 3 of the P22 magazines on Thursday afternoon, and they arrived today, so delivery was exceptionally quick. Hopefully I can test them out soon.

Wow, I ordered before you and you got yours first
I guess your closer to them as I am in CA. Mine are due tomorrow. So how do they "look"? how is fit and finish? edges? build quality seem? You can't beat the price. If they work as they claim - I actually talked to them on the phone - this is fantastic price and resource. |

KeepShooting P22 Magazines - Order Report
Quote:
They look good in all regards. Fit, finish, and edges appear similar to original magazines, except for the color. I'm comparing them to my 3 early magazines for my P22. I purchased my P22 in early 2002, and it was one of the first 2600 or so made, and my magzines are also from that timeframe. Here are some specific observations: My original P22 magazines weigh 1.8 ozs. each. The KeepShooting P22 magazines are .2 ozs. lighter, at 1.6 ozs each. I don't have later original magazines to compare their weight to. Perhaps someone here can weigh theirs. Function in my P22 (without firing) seemed exactly as my 3 other original magazines. The magazines shipped from Maryland, and I'm in Ohio, so that's apparently the reason for mine arriving first. Hope you get yours tomorrow. Here are some photos: Packaging: Right Side View (New magazine in the middle): Left Side View: Your thoughts on these new magazines are welcomed... David Albert dalbert@sturmgewehr.com |

I got mine 2 days ago, put 400 rounds through it yesterday. Not one issue, they work perfectly in my new p22Q.
Best Regards. --Bill I was using CCI Blazer ammo. Last edited by wonbyone; 08-10-2011 at 07:47 AM. Reason: added ammo info |

Yep, got mine today. I think we scored.
They come, as you see above, in individually sealed wrapped packages. Quality seems very high. No rough edges, pinky extensions seem solid. Springs feel good and consistent across all 4 I bought. The companies stamp could easily be rubbed off it it bothered you as it is not a stamp into the metal. |

L-N-L....you are paying attention my man. Yep those appear to be the original mags that were shortly discontinued for the long slot A models. M1911

I try to pay attention
![]() Kind of surprised, just based on what I have read, dalbert didn't elaborate on any issues he has with those older mags. But maybe since he did not, means he has no issues or since maybe the thread is not really about that, he just didn't state so. |
