Kind of surprised, just based on what I have read, dalbert didn't elaborate on any issues he has with those older mags. But maybe since he did not, means he has no issues or since maybe the thread is not really about that, he just didn't state so.
Locked-N-Loaded,

I haven't experienced significant issues with the original magazines. I've had a few jams over the years, but I've always attributed them to use of some old and cheap ammo that I bought for 79 cents a box in the 1980's. I still have about 7000 rounds of that ammo to shoot through. I anticipate that the new magazines will be issue-free. We'll see what happens...

I just purchased one of the Walther P22 magazines from Waltherpistols.com. The magazine's serial number ends in a B and has the 1 inch slot. This magazine worked as well as the one that come with my March 2011 P22. The finger rest texture on the new magazine is different from the one that came with my P22 but I am not so sure when I am out plinking if that will matter much.

More magazines are a must so, I think that I may have to try one of these aftermarket ones since the initial reviews are good. Thanks for going ahead and trying one out and letting us know how it worked.

Has anyone been able to locate any of the P22's magazines with the finger rest with the new grip texture? I just went and picked up a new magazine special ordered from my local gun shop/range that was supposed to come in with the new texture. It turned out not to be the case.

Hard if not immpossible to locate the best I can tell.

For the record & to follow up. I have now put about 800 rounds down range with these mags and can't tell the difference between them and the stock Walther. No issues I can attribute to the mag.

I will report back

Been using them for months now (haven't shot near as much as most of you though) with no issues. I bought some right after buying the P22Q. They are made out of a little bit thinner material, but work just fine.
