CZ P10C VS Walther PPQ : More than You Want to Know.

Video from sootch00 comparing new CZ P10C and the PPQ. Looks like CZ has an excellent striker fired pistol, especially for the money. I think he made a bit much about the PPQ trigger take up though. Trigger is lighter than the PPQ which I find interesting as more than a few feel the PPQ trigger is too light for CCW. I wish he did a side by side on height comparison between the two but did not for whatever reason. I would also like to have seen some accuracy comparisons between the two but that was not done either which is curious as usually he does that in his reviews even though they are off hand.

The P10C is all the rage over on the CZ Forum. Scarce and VERY few non-insiders have even seen one. The paid reviewers are about it at this point for finding out about this new pistol. Not a fan of Sootch at all personally.

I know what you are saying.

The reviews I am really looking forward to are Hickok45 and especially NutNFancy. I know some do not like NutNFancy but I never got the impression he has been paid to do a review and seems to tell it like he sees it. His review of the PPQ convinced me to buy one and I am extremely glad I did.

I thought I would post the comparison video here in the proper forum for those interested before it inevitably shows up in the PPQ forum.

They are lining up over on the CZ Forum. Interestingly, CZ also announced that they are discontinuing several models in 10mm short for 2017.

I've owned 3 CZ pistols, including the P09, and wound up selling. The triggers were inferior to the great one on the Q. The P10 looks glockish and I don't like the way the trigger stays back until you rerack the slide. I'll stick with the Q

I have to say that the trigger in my SAR K2-45, a CZ Style pistol, is a great DA/SA trigger. I love my P99 trigger but theyre different, both very good, but different.

One thing I don't understand about sootch00 and pretty much all the rest of the YT reviewers is that they rave about really short reset on a pistol but when you actually watch them shoot the pistols they are letting the trigger way out between shots?? Now I do that too but I don't complain about reset on any of my pistols including my classic P series SIGs and my HK P30. I understand how very short reset can benefit a skilled competitive shooter or someone who shoots only pistols with really short reset right at reset for speed but I think that probably is a very small percentage of shooters. Just thought that was a bit strange.

It was downright funny watching sootch00 complaining about "all that goes on" with the PPQ trigger during the take up and how that made the P10 C trigger superior. and how the CZ P10C trigger doesn't move back after being fired like the PPQ does?? So what.

I'd be able to take the CZ P10c's rave reviews much more seriously if somebody who isn't clearly a shill would review one.
I'm sorry, but the reviews by Military Arms Channel and Sootch00 feel more like paid advertisements than legitimate, impartial reviews. I already knew Sootch00 was a shill after his lame Silver Bullets of Freedom "survival" video and ridiculously positive review for the Jimenez JA9, but MAC really surprised/disappointed me.
Also, I find it mighty suspicious that every one of these T&E reviews compares it specifically to the PPQ, as though it's the only other polymer wonder 9 on the market. It just strikes me as a blatantly obvious attempt at coat-tailing a pistol with a great reputation.

I'll believe the CZ P10c is the amazing pistol it's cracked up to be once it's out and about for everyone to review.

I agree.

With the same way the P99 "changed the game" as far as grip ergonomics on striker fired pistols, the PPQ "changed the game" as well, in regards to trigger quality on striker fired pistols. Walther doesn't ever seem to get their due respect for innovation. I have no doubt that the reason the H&K VP9, Sig P320, and now this CZ P10c have good triggers, is because of the Walther PPQ.

I have no doubt that this CZ will be a hit. It seems to have taken all of the good features of all of the competition, and put them in one pistol. I've seen reports of 1"-2" groups at 25 yards. I've heard that the recoil and muzzle flip are very low on this pistol. The price is probably going to be below $500. The mags are cheaper than their German competitors. The sight dovetails are the same dimensions as the CZ Shadow II, so sights shouldn't be an issue, and they decided to shape it in a way that has it fitting in Glock 19 holsters.

Given that there isn't some design issue that has an effect on reliability, durability, or accuracy, at the moment I see no reason to go with another pistol. Time will tell though. I'm currently carrying a CZ 75B SA. I was thinking of going back to a PPQ to save some weight, but this CZ is what has me hesitant to pick one up at the moment. I'll probably wait a few months, if not a year to see how these pistols hold up first, then make my decision.
