Rossi's R98 .22 Plinker is proving to be the best firearm (and only) I've purchased new with a price tag under $300.. price has gone up since purchasing.
If you're in the market, Walther friends, think about it:
Count me among the "one and done". Had one Taurus I bought for my Dad. Was a satin nickel clone of a S&W Model 66. Sat in the box and even though it was well-oiled, it rusted.
I have a S&W Model 617 6 inch in stainless. Not made in my model any more because I opted for the 6-shot version (new ones are all 10-shot). It's reliable and accurate and really easy to clean.
I'm starting to question S&W quality lately as I've sent back two 686s w/ crooked barrels that were deemed unrepairable.
I still have my old model 60 which I love.
