new Beretta

I have never owned a Beretta before, so I thought it would be a good time to purchase one...an early Christmas gift to myself. I am now an owner of a model 84 FS Cheetah. After I brought it home, I gave it a lite cleaning and lube. So far I am impressed with the quality of it. As soon as the weather gets a little nicer here, I will take it to the range for some practice.

I remember when Browning imported that pistol as one of theirs. Never owned one but it was a great shooter. I really loved it.

Actually, beretta made the closed slide version for Browning...

And about a year ago, surprisingly, another batch of browning 380s were imported..

The Browning BDA is a very nice pistol. The vast majority of them were produced for the 9x17mm cartridge. I was fortunate to find two of them nib that are chambered for 7,65mm.

Ok, I have now saved your post and have it ready to send to a friend of mine who thinks I am an idiot because I told him a shop near me had a NEW Browning BDA just about a year ago!

It was around $700 or so, and boy was it pretty. It was at this very shop that I first tested a model 84 Cheetah and loved it. Most accurate little .380 I've ever shot, and I know it was me who was shooting well and not so much the gun. I wanted to buy one right then and there but the price was out of my range (pun intended) at the time.

Yes, I was surprised to see the Brownings again myself... But as I moved thru that gunshow, I saw them at several dealer tables. Saw them at the next show too... Haven't seen any recently...
