AR-15 stock question

Sponsored Links
ok---i didn't want to register on yet another gun site, so i figured someone here HAS to know the answer.

i have a DPMS Bull-20 with an A2 factory stock. i HATE the stock and want to replace it with a Magpul ACS (pinned, of course---i live in NJ) and i don't really know what parts i would need. if i read correctly, i'd need a new carbine length adjustable receiver extension tube, a lock nut for the tube, the stock, a pin kit (damn NJ......), and a spring? would i need a new buffer also?

Why not put on a Magpul PRS instead? It's a military favorite for accurized guns like yours. Plus, there's no pinning required. Here's one on my AR-10...

i was actually thinking of that stock. do you know if it'll fit a stock DPMS A2 receiver tube? i don't know if it's mil-spec or commercial diameter, or if that even matters...

It shouldn't make a difference on your A2 buffer tube. Here's what you'll need:

PRS® - Precision Rifle/Sniper - PRS® Precision-Adjustable Stock – AR15/M16 (5.56x45) Model

Call Magpul if you have any questions. They're nice folks...

The rifle looks good, all right, but that sign on the wall is absolutely outstanding. As they say in Dublin, where everyone knows that Guinness is Goodness, Sláinte chugat: Good health to you.

i think i may borrow the scope from my .308 and see what it can do. with the iron sights, i'm putting all the rounds in about an 8" area at 100 yards. this stock feels a lot more comfortable than the A2 that came with the rifle. the adjustable comb is what i really needed i think. i'm right on the sight now with no squirming around trying to get a good sight picture.
