It's amazing how well that old Remington design has held up through the years ... and long years they are.

Ah, derringers ... interesting design, but I'm amazed to see new production ones on the market, still. Simplicity pays off, I suppose, most of them are bigger than my KT P32 or NAA mini, which are my smallest guns.

I have heard that the double-barreled derringer design resembles nostrils for a reason.

Shooter Unproven
Long ago I had a derringer in .357 Mag. I don't remember the name, but I think it was made in Germany.
I fired it a time or two, but the hammer would cut the web of my hand with 158 Gr. .357 loads. I soon sold it.

An interesting thing about it, was it came with 2 .22LR barrel inserts. The bores were offset to aline the firing pin with the rim of the .22. The inserts had "O" rings to hold them in the .357 bore.

i wonder if the germans ever made some american copy lever action rifles to go with these. i know there's been at least a few models made for these handgun cartridges by winchester and marlin.

my hand hurts just looking at these. very nice.
