Need help

My son was cleaning my ccp to get to know it an ended up installing the locking pin in upside down can any one tell me if this is completely out of commission or can it be salvaged

I've hesitated to respond but if I had let that happen I would first hit my kid over the head with it and then I would try to depress the locking mechanism about 1/4" into the slide and while depressed use a small screw driver to attempt to spin the mechanism to the correct position. Be careful to keep it depressed beyond the pin on right side so as not to damage the pin and far enough in to not engage the locking hook. Wow, hope that helps. If you are not mechanically inclined, send it back to the company store. Good luck! Quick p.s. use a small piece of dowel rod to depress the spring.
