Forum marked as read before I've read them?

I've noticed lately that if I open the site and then get distracted and leave it open, I'm not really sure how long I have to leave it, it's not like I'm leaving it for hours, it marks all the threads read before I've opened one.

Is there some sort of automatic refresh or something that goes on after a certain time? It's a little thing, but it's kind of annoying.

I've had this same problem.
