alfonzo .22 SCAMS

Checked on Yesterday came across a mint PPK/L in .22 lr for
$900.00 in Oklahoma. The same pistol, same serial number, was on in Texas for $3,000.00.

Also came across a PPK/L in .22lr NIB that was listed at $1,500.00 on from New Hampshire. Seller "Buford Bagsworth".

The seller e-mailed me and wanted the money wired to his account
and never mentioned anything about needing a FFL.

I told him I don't buy firearms that way and if he wished to sell the PPK/L
I would need his address and I would mail an FFL with a certified check
or money order. He then e-mailed me and said he was an old man with
a Walther for sale and that was the last contact with him.

Be very cautious with

At least with you can read feed back from buyers and sellers.

Actually Alfonzo Fontana what I said was "I'm not in business I'm just an old guy with a Walther to sell. Can't do credit cards."

This was in response to you saying "In my course of business I purchase firearms either with a credit card and fax the seller my FFL if it is not on file. Or by mailing my FFL to the seller along with a bank certified check or money order."

Now I know why ARMSLIST has this disclaimer "REMEMBER: Avoid scams by dealing locally and NEVER send money to sellers without using a trusted escrow service." I'm in New Hampshire and you're in Seaside Oregon and I'm supposed to take your credit card? I may be old but I'm not an old fool.

Buford Bagsworth

I thought I had a deal with Mr. Bagsworth for a Browning HI Power. I had never done anything like this over the internet. I consulted my FFL. When I told Bagsworth it had to go through my FFL and I had to send him a Post Office Money Order, suddenly he wasn't interested in the deal. Interesting, no?

I pity Archie...his father is a bit deluded

archiesdad you have posted about a dozen inane comments on this thread which reveal much about your intellect.

One wonders why you are posting BS about a fictitious Browning transaction on the Walther thread. Slow Memorial Day in India no place?

BTW how's things going after your bankruptcy? You and you life partner still hanging in there :-O

In a phrase, knock it off. Take it to PM or registered mail or to your attorneys.
