Good advice, already stripped mine and found the disconnector. you are right, the manual doesn't say to lube there. Done, ready to go to the range.

Hey all... just got my pps 9mm last week. Went to range and threw down 200 rounds with no issues at all. 100 rounds of remington 124+P and 100 rounds of geco 124.

My only gripe is that the slide release lever was a pain to depress. I've always used the lever to recock any pistol that had one. Anyone have any issues with the lever?

Other than that, the mags ate up my thumbs!! But I am very, very pleased with my purchase. jetguns.com had it for $488 and included 2 mags.

I did noticed that most of my shots were low, after reading the way the sights are designed, I think my next range trip will be much more accurate.

For what it's worth, I also have a PPQ that I absolutely love!!

That was a great deal on your PPS. The slide "release" was designed to be a slide stop and is called a slide stop in the parts diagram and owner’s manual. It is small and unobtrusive to better fit the format of a Concealed Carry Weapon. The best way to rechamber a round in this weapon is to pull back on the slide to release the slide stop and let it go.

Two advantages to this proven method: First, you are gaining muscle memory for clearing malfunctions by always using your hand on the slide. Second, you are using more compressed recoil spring power to chamber your round by pulling the slide back the extra amount past the slide stop point.

Congrats on your new PPS.

There was no allowance for "break-in"; if the malfunction rate exceeded 1/2 of one per cent, the assembly line was stopped until the reason why was found and corrected. Very interesting. I wish I knew how every company handled quality control. Since you worked for SIG, I'm curious what your thoughts are on the perceived decline in SIG quality over the past few years.

A YouTube video to accompany this thread's advice would be awesome.
