P.38 parts list from Walther

Those of you with P.38s may have need to reference this, in the event that anything goes wrong with your pistol:

Well, let's see: For starters, the springs, the mag, the grips, the sights, and the trigger. Other than that, the things are doggone near foolproof.

I'ma guessing I should pick up one of those 89 dollar spare parts kits they got out there, huh?

I don't know that I'd go that far. Like everything, much depends a great deal on how much you plan to shoot your P1, and what you plan to run through it when you do shoot it, and the current condition of the gun as much as anything else. If you have one with the reinforced slide/hex pin upgrade, the chances of something untoward happening to it are slim. If you don't, then I sure wouldn't run anything through it with any more heft than Winchester WB 115-gr FMJ. These were military service pistols, after all; most of them will outlast all of us.

Thanks, PH. It's always good to know that there's still nothing at all that a little duct tape won't cure.

Judiciously applied in the right spot -- there's nothing better.

Except for the times when you need Gorilla Glue.
