Walther Model 8

Sponsored Links
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this one. I recently ran across a Walther Model 8. The finish is about 60-65%, with a mint bore and excellent mechanics. The grips need replacing, and years ago someone put some tape to hold them on. (Removed some of it and the finish is not damaged underneath). The owner wants $125, and with the exception of the grips and a bit of cleanup it will look very nice when done. Is this a good price?

You'd pay upwards of $450 to $550 for one with a finish at 95% or better. So if you aren't looking for a safe queen, yeah: that's a heck of a good price. If you need other parts, you can get them through places like Numerich. Here's a link:

I paid $155 for one with very good grips and a very good bore. About 25% to 30% finish, needing a firing pin, spring, and an extractor. The ones in very good to excellent condition bring around $450 to $550 out here in Washington. I bought this one as a project.
